It is a great honor and pleasure to be invited today to share this happy occasion. My name is Chen Cui and I was an 121students graduated in 2017 from Huaqiao University and University of Wisconsin- Eau Claie. Congratulations to all of you who have nailed your college life and are super ready to start a new journey with much courage and strong ability. Simultaneously, as first batch of 121 students in HQU, I am also happy to witness the rapid development of 121 program, which becomes the cradle of more and more talents.

Let me introduce my experience briefly. Thanks to my solid knowledge foundation, colorful extracurricular activities and unique double-degree education backgrounds , I got an offer to be a tax preparer from Jackson Hewitte, the second largest tax service in America after I graduated. Later, I was admitted to University of Amsterdam for graduated program with a full scholarship offer. Last year, I began my job hunting journey, successfully received about 15 offers from big companies include PWC, 汇丰银行，Keppel Land China and the etc.

For me, 121 is the bridge that lead to me to a bigger world. Compared to domestic students, we have a wider scope of knowledge, more business presentation experiences, better teamworking and language skills, all of which are valuable traits for either master admission officer or recruiters. No matter you choose to continue your study or begin your career life, just stop being anxious, you are already way ahead of the pack. As a “old student” with both master application history and job hunting experience, I have three suggestions for your guys. Number 1, do more interns during free time, better pioneered company within their industry or multinational companies even without salary. Number 2, Professional certificates are a big plus, such as ACCA, USCPA, even a high IELTS score. So please never stop learning. Lastly, you have to find your own highlight, in other words, outstanding strength which can help you to stand out either in scholarship candidate selection or job interview. It can be your professional knowledge, colorful extracurricular life or enduring volunteer habits.

You know, Compare to us, you are way more excellent now and please be ready to ride waves of the change and uncertainty.

Lastly, I want to express my appreciation again to UWEC and HQU for offering me a good starting point. It is only to say that I wish all the graduates much happiness and success in the years ahead, all the professors good health and all 121 schools more talents cultivation. Congratulations again!
